MTB Stekenjokk
The tour starts with easy cycling for about 7 km along a jeep road. Then follow the Norgefararleden trail past Tjåkkelestugorna and further north towards Remdalen. After a couple of kilometers of somewhat uneven path, fantastic cycling awaits along Remdalen’s elongated gravel sands. Shortly before the national border the path becomes worse again and here it is advisable to turn around. Follow the same path back. Read more.
Kultsjödalen on the Västerbotten side and Frostviken in Jämtland offer fantastic cycling opportunities
Up on Stekenjokk there are trails and paths for both hiking and cycling and in addition, the stretch of the Vildmarksvägen road over Stekenjokk offers fantastic road cycling up at 876 meters altitude. Cycling between 3-4 m high snowfalls in the spring is an experience you should not miss if you like cycling and mountains.Read more.
Vildmarksvägen cycling
From the road opening in early June to the closing in late October, Vildmarksvägen from Stalon to Gäddede is fantastic for cycling. When the road opens, it is normal for the snow walls to be 2-4 m high and the feeling of cycling on newly laid asphalt through the tunnel of snow is fantastic. Later in the season and in the autumn, the magnificent views and colors are a mountain experience beyond the ordinary. Read more.

Mountain biking in Frostviken
Frostviken with the newly paved Vildmarksvägen offers fantastic road cycling right up to the calf mountain. Cycle the over 8 miles between Gäddede and Stekenjokk or make vacation a real long trip and cycle the 42 km Vildmarksvägen around! In Frostviken there are several obvious resting places and accommodation suitable for cyclists. Mossy jeep roads
Between 1973 and 1988 a copper mine was operated at the top of Stekenjokk. During the mining years, a number of jeep and exploration routes were created, which today are perfect routes for cycling. Read more.

Facilities
For a convenient stay
After a day of activities, you can relax at the campsite. Take a swim in the pool and to continue with a typical Swedish meal in our restaurant.

The reception is the centre of the campsite. On the camping you will also find a small but cosy restaurant for food and drinks with a skyline over the lake. The menu includes some typical Swedish dishes, such as meatballs.

At the campsite there are several facilities to relax or to play by the children. An outdoor swimming pool, sauna, showers, playground, pétanque, recreation room, table tennis table, midgetgolf.

Sights
The route to the campsite from Strömsund or Vilhelmina via the Wilderness Road (road 342) is an experience in itself. It passes beautiful landscapes, past rivers, lakes and waterfalls, such as the stair-shaped Trappstegsforsen.
